Role of Local Biofertilizer in Enhancing the Oxidative Stress Defence Systems of Date Palm Seedling (Phoenix dactylifera) against Abiotic Stress

چکیده
Among the abiotic stresses, drought is first environmental stress responsible for a decrease in agricultural production worldwide; it affects plants various ways, including slowing down plant growth and disrupting its general physiology. Arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are considered to be bioameliorators of plant’s resistance water stress. The present study investigated effects inoculation with arbuscular fungi (AMF) PGPR on status antioxidant enzyme activities date palm seedlings grown under conditions. parameters related were significantly ( p < 0.05 ) higher treated mycorrhizae + bacteria compared their respective controls, especially maximum proline content was obtained inoculated AMF species (combined) severe conditions reaching value 2.588 ± 0.034 25% field capacity, 0.978 0.024 control. In addition, showed notably lower superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POX), glutathione S-transferase (GST) response nonmycorrhizal seedling. Overall, could promising methods enhance against oxidative

Proteome Analysis for Understanding Abiotic Stress (Salinity and Drought) Tolerance in Date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.)
This study was carried out to study the proteome of date palm under salinity and drought stress conditions to possibly identify proteins involved in stress tolerance. For this purpose, three-month-old seedlings of date palm cultivar "Sagie" were subjected to drought (27.5 g/L polyethylene glycol 6000) and salinity stress conditions (16 g/L NaCl) for one month. DIGE analysis of protein extracts ...
متن کاملProline accumulation is a general response to abiotic stress in the date palm tree (Phoenix dactylifera L.).
Plants exposed to certain abiotic stress conditions tend to produce the amino acid proline, which acts as an active osmolyte, a metal chelator, an antioxidant, and a signaling molecule. There is increasing evidence that proline accumulates in plants due to a wide range of abiotic stress, in particular high soil salinity and drought. Therefore, proline content is often used as a marker-assisted ...
متن کاملDetecting early signs of heat and drought stress in Phoenix dactylifera (date palm)
Plants adapt to the environment by either long-term genome evolution or by acclimatization processes where the cellular processes and metabolism of the plant are adjusted within the existing potential in the genome. Here we studied the adaptation strategies in date palm, Phoenix dactylifera, under mild heat, drought and combined heat and drought by transcriptomic and metabolomic profiling. In t...
متن کاملProteome Analysis of Date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) under Severe Drought and Salt Stress
Date palm cultivars differently tolerate salinity and drought stress. This study was carried out to study the response of date palm to severe salinity and drought based on leaf proteome analysis. Eighteen-month-old date palm plants were subjected to severe salt (48 g/L NaCl) and drought (82.5 g/L PEG or no irrigation) conditions for one month. Using a protein 2D electrophoresis method, 55 prote...
متن کاملGenome sequence of the date palm Phoenix dactylifera L
Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) is a cultivated woody plant species with agricultural and economic importance. Here we report a genome assembly for an elite variety (Khalas), which is 605.4 Mb in size and covers >90% of the genome (~671 Mb) and >96% of its genes (~41,660 genes). Genomic sequence analysis demonstrates that P. dactylifera experienced a clear genome-wide duplication after eithe...
